The Charity Shield

The prestigious CHARITY SHIELD Tournament for SPORT RELIEF is being held at the COURT HILL CENTRE, set in the beautiful countryside of the Thames Valley and Berkshire Downs, on Sunday 26th September 2010. The day will run from 9.00am to 5.00pm. Registration and FLICK ABOUT from 9.00am to 10.00am. Tournament KO 10.00am.

The CHARITY SHIELD is being supported by WYCOMBE TABLE FOOTBALL CLUB.
Mark Smith of Wycombe Table Football Club is very generously donating the TEAMS for match play.
Each team will be hand painted on STEFAN CORDA VINTAGE FIGURES and fitted with SURESHOT BASES.
After the FINAL WHISTLE the teams will be AUCTIONED on Ebay to raise funds for SPORT RELIEF.


Matches will be played on ASTRO TURF.


The TOURNAMENT will be played to FISTF RULES.
It will be a FIRST EXPERIENCE for most of us :-)

ENTRY FEE is a FIVER. This will pay for the venue and trophies.

Given that the numbers have dwindled down to just NINE, I anticipate a relaxed CLUB LIKE atmosphere.
It will simply be another opportunity to play the game we love so much, and RAISE SOME FUNDS for SPORT RELIEF.

If we GO WITH NINE, I propose everybody play each other once in a LEAGUE FORMAT.
There will be 2 ASTRO PITCHES, and an ASTRO SIXES pitch for those wanting a flick between matches.
